Mid-Term Report Card Post

I’ve been enjoying P.E. a lot this year; through my class and the activities we do. It feels quite weird because this year we are the older kids in class and I’ve always been the younger. It actually feels nice to be the older for a change; it is a truly different experience.

I believe I’ve come to class prepared because I always have my gym strip on, and I’m ready for P.E. My participation this year has been fairly well; I’ve been participating a lot more this year. I’m working harder on Fitness days and making sure I try to go till I really feel that I NEED a break. I make sure I don’t force my body, but I also make sure I don’t give up because my mind says we’re done. I always come to the class with a positive attitude and a smile on my face. I am always pleased to help out in class, rather it be setting up, organizing an activity or even cleaning up. We have younger students in our block so I’m always helping them out with their blogs, or even if they are having a hard time with anything in P.E. I’m always ready to help out the class and make sure everyone’s happy and doing okay in class. Overall, I always work hard in class, and do my best and always look forward to class and helping others.

I contribute to our class because I always come to class with a positive attitude and smile on my face. I always motivate and encourage my classmates in class to do their best, and keep going. I try to communicate with my classmates as much as I can, and when I do we all communicate well. I always help out my peers and make sure they are all doing okay; along with helping peers I help set up and organize activities. Being part of the older kids means people look up to you, so I always make sure I’m being a good role model through everything we do in P.E.

Fitness days are not as challenging this year, but they are still some challenges of course. I’ve personally been more active this year, which is wonderful, along with that I try to work out as much as I can on a daily basis. On fitness days, I try my best to complete the activity to my fullest ability. I make sure that I don’t give up just because my mind gives up; I go till I really think its time to stop. Currently I’m at a 5.1 on my beep test and my goal is to get a 7 or higher by the end of the year. Fitness days are somewhat challenging, but since I am more active I am able to hold on longer, and able to motivate myself even more. Along with motivating myself I motivate my peers to keep going and work hard.

Leadership to me means to means to guide others toward the right path, and help them through, while teaching them how to lead. A leader is a role model, someone who you look up too and are inspired by. There are leaders everywhere, they are people who motivate/encourage you; they are people who plan things or run an activity. They organize things and make sure all goes well and that everyone is participating well and also following rules. There are many leaders/role models in our class who motivate others, and make sure everyone is being involved. Our class is always motivating each other through many activities and helping each other out. I personally feel that there are many grade tens in our class who help out the younger kids with their blogs or just everyday activities. Overall in class everyone is motivating each other in class and making sure that we are all having fun.

My blog is doing pretty well till now. I try to update my blog on a daily basis, every class. I try to provide picture/video evidence of what we do in class; I don’t get to post much about what I do out of class, I will certainly work on that! I write about the activities we have done in class, rather it be choice, Fitness or even just our class days. I also t help other students in our class with blogs and motivate them to work on their blogs; I mostly help grade nines though.

All in all I think I deserve a work habit of “G” for my hard work and motivation this year. Bless! (:

Hide and Seek Tag!

Okay, so on Thursday we played Hide and Go seek tag! Originally we were going to the weight room, but then as a class we decided that we wanted to go outside and play. We decided to play hide and go seek tag, because the weather was pretty good and we thought this is a good opportunity to take advantage of the weather! It was a lot of fun and it was very enjoyable, we all had lots of fun! It was grade nines against grade tens and unfortunately we lost, but that's okay; there's always next time! (; It was a lot of fun because we got to run around and hide, which made it more fun and intense. Overall we were all enjoying ourself even though it was a little rainy and windy. I would love to play this game again, and I look forward to going outside again!

Beep Test

Okay, so yesterday in class we did beep test and I have to say I have improved! I've always thought it is good to make goals, but sometimes I think I don't accomplish them. I was able to accomplish my goal! AHH! It is only one of the best feelings in the world when you make a goal fro something and it happens, it feels wonderful. My goal yesterday for beep test was to reach a 5, and that happened! I got a 5.1 on beep test yesterday! This honestly was so happy for me because I realized that I have improved and that I can do it if I have enough will and motivation. Yesterday I was very motivated and even when my body started to give out, I told myself to keep going. Till the very last second where I was gonna give out, I kept going, and it felt great. I was very proud of myself yesterday and it was a very good accomplishment. I hope to do even better on beep test and my goal is to get to at least a 6 on the next beep test. Unfortunately yesterday something happened to me and I kept coughing and got dizzy which restricted me from doing the other Fitness testing. :( I will definitely do it next time, and make sure I get everything done! So keep going guys because we can all accomplish our goals, good luck, and just keep swimming! (:

Dodgeball/Leadership

A couple classes ago we played dodgeball as a class, which actually went quite well. I had the oppurtunity to be the leader of the class; I was basically the teacher that day. I must say it was a wonderful experience; it's actually harder than it looks. Teachers make it look so easy, when in reality it isn't. Giving everyone instructions was probably the hardest part, along with getting everyone to listen to you. Everyone talking makes it a little harder as well because then people don't hear you and continue talking. Another thing I noticed was is that everyone always thinks of the teacher as the teacher, if it's anyone else they feel like there is no teacher. Luckily our class cooperated pretty well with the fact that there was no teacher, but you could still tell that everyone was a little distracted. Blowing the whistle to get attention really did help because a whistle projects a lot of noise which makes a huge difference.  What you do in class really does impact the class, your attitude means a lot. When you are talking or fooling around during class, it influences others as well. Your attitude contributes to the class, positive or negative. I think for the most part my attitude is good, I come to class with a positive attitude and make sure everyone is happy. I think the only thing I can improve is to make sure everyone is involved. I have noticed sometimes people aren't being involved or they are not participating and I think I should improve by trying to motivate them/ get them involved. Overall our class is improving day by day, and all together this class was very fun!
