Today's Class!

I really enjoyed today's class! In today's class it was choice and I picked volleyball. I picked volleyball because I wanted something fun and exciting! Volleyball really gets you going and gets you moving! My team was very motivating and we all got together very well as a team! We played great and were very organized with subs and rotations. Sometimes subbing can get very confusing, but we did very well with organizing that. I really enjoyed playing volleyball today because it seemed as everyone was having fun and actually wanted to play volleyball not just sit around. I was very happy with myself because I was able to participate well today rather it be serving, hitting the ball to the other side or even motivating others! One thing I really liked was everyone was playing for fun not for points or who wins which really makes the game fun because you don't have to worry how many points and you can just enjoy yourself and play! Anyway I really enjoyed volleyball and I look forward to the next choice to see what other great activities there will be to play! 

Fitness Tuesday This Week!

This week on Tuesday we did Loco Motion! Loco Motion is when you run across the gym in various ways. You do this three times but in different time variations. The first time you do it for thirty seconds, the second time you do it for one minute and the last time ylu do it for 30 seconds again! This activity is hard but fun as well. Your legs definetly start to hurt after a while but you get breaks to so you get to recover. The hard part about this activity is that after a while your physical self will tell you to stop, but you have to tell your mental self to keep going! I think I did very well with this because even though at parts I was hurting a lot or I was really tired I would keep going and telling myself that it's okay you can do this! It really is hard to keep going, but if you a good mind you'll have a good find! So even here I was able to get myself to keep going and I was able to! Overall this fitness activity really gets you going and is fun as well! 

Fitness Class #2

Okay so the other fitness activity we did was circuit. Circuit is an activity which involves many activities mixed together. This activity is great for exercising in many different ways! We used benches, weights, yoga mats, medicine balls and even excercise balls. I loved doing this activity because you were able to do many excercises and learnt new excercises. This activity is really very tiring and truly is very hard at points. I'm very happy with myself because I kept going even though my friends left me at points. Before I used to stop if my friends stop but then I overcame that and though I'm doing this for myself not my friends so just keep going! I'm very proud of myself because that truly was a very but thing for me and I've gotten a lot independent in that case. So continuing in this activity we did many different activities and by the end of the class I was hurting and I was red. I think one if the hardest parts of this activity was to be able to keep going even if your hurting! In this activity you use so many muscles that after a while it start to hurt everywhere because you've used so many muscles. For example you go to the medicine ball areas and do squats with a medicine balls. Your arms and legs start to hurt, and then after ylu have to do skipping! Your using more muscles to do that activity, and then you do sprints which is even more! Regardless of how much it hurts, it all pays off afterwards. After I did this activity I felt so good because I was able to do it successfully! I'm very proud if myself because I've improved quite a bit in Active Learning. Overall this fitness activity is hard but puts it right to the test! 

Fitness Class #1

Okay so I've been quite upset with myself because I haven't been posting lately! ahh! Anyway this post is going to be about a fitness class we did a few classes ago. A few classes ago for fitness we did the pond run which is probably one of my favourite fitness activities! I always enjoy the pond run with intervals because it gives you a chance to run and walk equally and let's you use your cardiovascular endurance! I was very proud of myself in this fitness activity because I was able to run when told to and walk when told to. I was really happy because I was able to tell myself to keep going and not stop even when I wanted to stop, and I didn't even stop for my friends. Some of my friends would fall behind but I decided that I would keep running and not stop because I knew I could do it. In this fitness activity it really tested my mental decisions because my physical self was telling me to stop but my mental self was saying no don't stop you can keep going! Overall I was very proud of myself in this fitness activity and look forward to it again!

Wednesday's Class!

So on Wednesday's Class we worked in the weight room and had to find a workout suitable for us. For example a workout for what you want to work on (your core,legs,arms etc.) I worked out with a group of people who were looking for the same kind of workout, which was legs and core workouts. We found some videos which we used to workout and followed. I really enjoyed this class because I had a wonderful group of people around me and we actually got something done in the weight room instead of just sitting on the bikes all class or going on the treadmill. We found a workout that was right for us and what we were looking for, and we didn't waste anytime! So that was basically Wednesday's Class and what we did and I look forward to going in the weight room the next time! Here are the videos we used:

Fitness Friday!

On Friday we did 40 seconds on and 20 seconds off with everyone! Basically what you were doing is you would do the activity the person in the middle was doing! For example if the person in the middle was doing jumping jacks you would do jumping jacks. You had to do this activity for 40 seconds straight and then you would rest for 20 seconds and then do the next activity for 40 seconds and so on. I enjoyed this activity because you got to use both cardio and muscular endurance and you would also get a short break! I tryed my best in this activity and did the activity for the entire 40 seconds even if my legs started to hurt or I got cramps. I also encouraged people around me to keep going and not give up and do the activity for the entire 40 seconds! I was lucky enough to have a group of hard working people around me which also motivated me to do my best, and keep going! Overall this was a fun, and also great activity and I truly enjoyed it. I look forward to doing this again during the year!

Wednesday's Class! (Today)

Today in gym we had the option of choice! I like choice because you have a variety of options to choose from. Today I chose to play volleyball and I truly enjoyed it. It was a great A.L. class and I really got some exercise done. I was lucky to have a very enthusiastic team who was very supporting and encouraging! I really enjoyed playing with my team! The reason I chose volleyball was because I wanted an activity I could move around in, but I don't have to run too much in. I found volleyball to be the best choice because I still wanted an activity that would be fun and you could move around in. I helped my team to the best ability and tried to make it fun for my team and the competing team. I would encourage both teams, like say good job after a serve. I really enjoyed volleyball because everyone was trying their best which made the game very amusing! I look forward to the next choice, and the variety of new activities!

Monday's Class!

On Monday we played dodgeball and I enjoyed it very much! Dodgeball is the kind of game where you can easily get involved and participate in. I participated a lot in dodgeball rather it be passing a dodgeball to someone or throwing it on the other side. I tried to help my teammates as much as I could, and tried to work together as a team. When some of our team members  got out of the game because they had been hit with a dodgeball I would try to throw the ball in the net so we could get them back in the game and they could enjoy too! I would be fair as well, meaning that if I got hit by the ball I would go and sit out and not make a fit about it. I really enjoyed playing dodgeball and look forward to playing it again in the year!
