All My Buddy Posts :)

First Meeting With My Buddy:

Alright, today was a great day in P.E. I got to meet my buddy! We have a buddy program with Cambridge Elementary and are big buddies to grade 1's and 2's. They are such adorable young children and just make you smile instantly.

My buddy is absolutely adorable, he's so funny and energetic; just like me! He starts off shy, but then becomes quite open. He loves to talk and always has a smile on his face. He's got a long hair and his this mushroom haircut kind of thing going on. It was so nice talking to my buddy because he isn't very shy and likes to talk about things. He loves playing basketball and it is his favourite sport; he also likes other sports like soccer or something that involves running. My buddy has two sisters and two brothers, all older than him except for his youngest brother. He loves playing outside and enjoys school. He likes nature and being outdoors. He loves spending time with his family and likes to go out with them. My buddy claims to like all subjects and enjoy each one; he likes being in class. He's got this great energy to him and I swear he could become an actor or something. We were asked to do certain walks, happy, sad, angry, etc. He rocked it, and did all the walks with such emotion; he needs to be in theatre! He's so cute and funny, and he always has a smile on his face. He cooperates really well and likes to communicate with others. I loved meeting my buddy and hope to meet him again soon.

Buddies again! :

YAY, I got to meet little champ again today; my buddy is such a pleasure to be around and he's just such a great kid. He loves running around and he;s got this energy in him that just makes things so much more enjoyable! Today we played music and did different running around exercises, like the different kind of walks, hopping.. etc. We're gooing to call my buddy little champ, because it just suits him (he's adorable.) Alright so little champ did great a this, he was hopping around and running, I had to catch up with him! Kids run so fast with so much energy, you really have to keep track of them. I personally love having a little buddy, it really kicks in the responsibility aspect of you. Having a little buddy really gives you the instinct of putting them before yourself and making sure they're okay; you want to make sure they always are safe. Even when doing a simple running activity, you want to make sure they aren't falling or hitting themselves. I think that's really what connects you, it's the instinct of having someone younger than you to take care of. Having a little buddy is such a great experience, and I'm really happy that I am able to be part of something like this.

Buddies.. WOOHOO:

Alright, so another great experience with our buddies today. Class started off with talking to our buddies about what they did over the break! I wasn't able to meet little champ last time we had buddies, so it was nice to see him again. He got a haircut, no more mushroom cut! Aw, I'll miss that cute hair he had. Either way, he was still the same chirpy, cheery boy I had met the first day. I talked to him about what he did over his easter long weekend, and he did lots. He went to dinner to his older sister's house and had loads of fun. He played soccer till 12 at night and loved the weather. I asked him if he had lots of chocolate and he said no, but  talked about having a grand dinner at his sister's. He talked about playing with his friends and enjoying the weather.

In this class we focused on underhand throwing, and using the opposite foot to step forward when throwing the ball. My buddy was good at this, except just needed to get the hang of taking bigger steps. I was quite shocked because he already knew what to do, and how the left goes with right, and right goes with left. I learnt something new about little champ, he plays tennis. He talked about how his parents have him in tennis and how he practices throwing the ball with them all the time. He enjoyed throwing the ball back and forth, and was able to understand the concept of taking bigger steps. The golf game went well, I gave him little hints and advice, and he got the hang of it. He understood that the farther away the hoop, the harder you throw, and the closer the hoop, the lighter you throw. It felt good because I was able to teach him something, and have him understand the concept. I also learnt that little champ likes to take care of injured or dying worms. A group of his friends and him take care of worms that are dying or injured and make sure they are taken care of. It was so nice to see a young kid, be taking care of the environment and nature around him. Overall, this was a great day and I really enjoyed spending time with my buddy.
